Summary for the East Creative 2025

One of the most important themes of this year’s edition was the role of design in shaping the identity of places and brands. Participants discussed product and service design, visual communication, the use of artificial intelligence in creative processes, and the challenges facing contemporary designers. There were also discussions on the future of the design profession, collaboration with business, and the importance of the creative industries for the development of cities and regions.

An integral part of the event were four panel discussions devoted to, among other topics, place identity, the role of creative events in urban development, the significance of design exhibitions, and the relationship between designers and business. The common thread running through all the discussions was the conviction that contemporary design emerges through collaboration among diverse communities and openness to the exchange of experiences.

The workshops also drew significant interest, during which participants developed skills related to the use of artificial intelligence in business and creative work, enhancing the well-being of entrepreneurs, and fostering creative thinking. The practical nature of the sessions allowed participants to acquire tools they can use both in their daily design work and in managing their own organizations or companies.

Another key element of the conference was the opening of the THIS IS DESIGN exhibition, showcasing the most interesting projects from Central and Eastern Europe in the fields of industrial design, architecture, graphic design, branding, and digital technologies. The exhibition showcased the diversity of design in our region and served as a space for further discussions on the directions of contemporary design.

East Creative has once again proven that design is not merely the process of creating products or services. It is a way of thinking about social, technological, and cultural challenges, as well as a tool for fostering collaboration between business, academia, and culture.

We thank all the speakers, partners, and participants for helping to create an event that served as a space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and inspiration. We believe that the conversations begun during East Creative will continue in new projects, partnerships, and initiatives, strengthening Central and Eastern Europe’s position on the global design map.
